Calling it a test is actually a misnomer since you obviously can't test for pregnancy online. It's more of an exercise in predictability. Online Pregnancy TestThere are several websites that you can try this with. You enter in the first day of your last period and the date you think you conceived. You then check off a list of symptoms and after you submit that information the website will give you a number indicating the likelihood that you are pregnant. It's really just a simple mathematical calculation and not one that you should take seriously. There is no way that an online pregnancy test can tell you if you are pregnant or not. As long as you realize that it is more of a game than anything there is no harm but you cannot take these predictors seriously. See Your Doctor InsteadIf you truly believe you may be pregnant you should see your doctor as soon as possible instead of wasting time with an online pregnancy test. In the meantime you might want to try a home pregnancy test to see if you get a positive or negative result. These tests are surprisingly accurate as they work in the exact same way as the urine test in the doctor's office. They all use chemical agents to react with a woman's urine in order to detect the pregnancy hormone, hCG. It's as simple is that, if the test doesn't detect the hormone either you're not pregnant or the hCG hasn't reached a detectable level yet. If the test detects the hormone then you are pregnant. That's something an online pregnancy test can't do. Other than that, a blood test can also tell if you are pregnant even before a urine test can. The downside here is that it is much more expensive and of course you have to go to the doctor for the test. Even then there are two different kinds of blood pregnancy tests and you'll want to know which one to ask for. The qualitative blood test will work about as effectively as the urine test in that it works at a certain level to see if it can detect hCG. As it is with the urine test, if it detects the hormone you are pregnant and if it doesn't then you aren't. The other pregnancy blood test, the quantitative one will detect any amount of hCG in your system so if it is there at all, this blood test will be able to detect it. Even if you decide to play around with an online pregnancy test just realize that there are ways you can easily find out if you are pregnant. Don't let anything be a substitute for a doctor's visit though. See your doctor as soon as you think you are pregnant.
