Questions about Homemade Pregnancy Tests

You get to know and see things online that you don't usually get to know and see from some of the closest people to you. Surfing the net is like being a fly on the wall. Sometimes it's funny, the things you run across. And sometimes it's very, very sad.

I have run across several posts in forums where a user is asking the group if anyone knows how to make a homemade pregnancy test and the answer is always no. The tragedy though is the reasons behind the posts.

One came from a teenager who didn't want to get caught buying a home pregnancy test and another one came from a grown woman who couldn't afford the price of a home pregnancy test. There were some suggestions made about getting rid of the computer and the internet service, some folks were offended and the offending posts were deleted.

Freedom of Speech

I know I don't really get a vote but if I did I would vote to offend anyone who would be so careless as to bring an innocent baby into the world that they can't feed. I know it happens every day. I'm not so naive to think it doesn't. But I'm pretty sick of not being able to offend anyone anymore, especially someone who needs to be offended.

These women who were looking for a homemade pregnancy test can certainly get a free pregnancy test at a clinic but it just burns me that we're not thinking about the babies. A thirteen year old certainly has no business with a baby no matter how much money she has and a grown woman who can't afford a pregnancy test doesn't have any business raising a baby either.

We might be able to change some of the ways our society has drifted if we could voice our opinions but something has happened between freedom of speech and offending people that is squashing our speech. Whether it's a homemade pregnancy test or any other subject, let the rest of us tell someone when we think they're being irresponsible.

You can't offend anyone in the workplace either. If your clothes offend someone, you have to change. If a symbol or book on your desk offends someone you have to remove it. Except when it comes to burning the flag. We can't outlaw that. We have to outlaw the freedom of speech, the freedom of expression to burn our flag.

I don't care if there is or isn't a homemade pregnancy test. We've made it far too easy and discreet not to mention financially painless to get a pregnancy test as it is. I hope this article offends someone because if it hasn't I probably haven't expressed myself. And I am still free to do that.
