If you're in need of a free pregnancy test, you probably won't find anyone giving out the home pregnancy test kits but you can still get a free pregnant test at a free pregnancy test clinic. If you don't know of any, look for a Planned Parenthood in your city. They have been giving free pregnancy tests for many years and if you're underage you can get tested without your parents being notified.

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood will also give you free condoms and counseling and explain your options to you which almost anyone realized are having the baby, putting the baby up for adoption or having an abortion. Some women, although they already know their options, they do benefit from talking to someone about their situation. They may learn something about community resources that they didn't know before or they might learn something about themselves that they didn't know before.

Health Department

Another resource to try when you're looking for a free pregnancy test clinic is your city's health department. If they don't offer free pregnancy tests, they can likely tell you who does. Most communities have a community resource hotline that you can call for referrals to different community resources. You just call them and tell them what kind of resource it is that you're in need of and if your city has that resource available, they will be able to give you the information.

Churches

Most churches keep a list of community resources because they get calls from people all the time looking for help. You could call almost any church and ask for a referral to a free pregnancy test clinic.

Unfortunately, it's the people who live in a small town that sometimes miss out on community resources but ask anyway because many of the larger cities agencies have extension offices in the surrounding smaller communities. Someone from the agency might visit once a month or sooner if there is a need so just because you don't know of a free pregnancy test clinic don't decide on your own that there isn't one before you ask questions.

Extension Offices

People in small towns are able to get a lot of benefits through extension offices. They don't usually have to wait all day in an office either. For one thing, most people who live in small towns don't realize how many extension offices there are and they will either travel to a larger town to find the resource they need or just forget it altogether.

You might try calling the office of the Red Cross in your town to find out if they know about any extension offices and/or community resources.
