EPT Pregnancy Test Result

The EPT pregnancy test result is easy to read whether you get the digital test or not. The digital EPT pregnancy test result displays the words PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT instead of a line. In this way, you're not staring at the display wondering if the faint line you think you see is the line that means you are pregnant. There is no mistaking the results when you have the words to read.

The "regular" EPT pregnancy test result is a plus or minus sign that is quite distinct so there is no confusion with this one either. Both tests come with the midstream pregnancy stick so you perform the test the exact same way. The difference is that the digital home pregnancy test has a plastic holder that you insert the stick into after you perform the test.

Looking Back

The first EPT pregnancy test result was a dark ring at the base of a glass test tube visible through a mirror angled underneath the test tube. It was primitive by today's standards as you had to mix the urine with the other ingredients in the test tube along with the provided purified water. You collected the urine in a cup and then used a medicine dropper to add it to the test tube. After all this you had to wait 2 hours for the results which at the time seemed like a miracle because up until then the only alternative was the doctor's office and a several day wait for the results.

We've come a long way since the test tube home pregnancy test. Today's woman would be appalled at the idea of having to wait 2 hours for an EPT pregnancy test result but at the time it was a miracle.

Choices

You also have many choices today when it comes to which home pregnancy test kit to use. They are all very similar but there are subtle but important differences too. Most of the home pregnancy tests use the midstream method of testing where all you do is hold the pregnancy test strip in your urine stream and then wait 2 or 3 minutes for the results to develop. It's never been easier to find out if you're pregnant as quickly as possible.

Regardless of which home pregnancy test you use, see your doctor as soon as possible if you think you may be pregnant.
